The Journey of Usui / Holy Fire Reiki®

Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki is an advanced form of energy healing that represents a beautiful refinement of the traditional Usui System, founded originally in Japan by Mikao Usui in the 1920s. It was introduced in 2014 by William Lee Rand through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). It did not seek to replace the Usui tradition, but to build upon its sacred foundation.

Think of it as the Usui lineage "stepping forward" to meet the unique stresses and spiritual needs of our modern world. It remains Usui Reiki at its heart, but it is powered by a refined energy that originates from the highest spiritual levels. Because of this, it is understood to function as a direct higher intelligence that connects with you personally, rather than being filtered through the practitioner’s energy field.

The word “Holy” in Holy Fire® Reiki is not used in a religious sense. Rather, it comes from a root meaning of being whole and complete, which beautifully reflects the essence of the energy - helping us reconnect with the whole, balanced and authentic self that can become hidden beneath stress, life experiences and emotional burdens.

HOW IT FEELS DIFFERENT from traditional reiki?

While traditional Usui Reiki is a beautiful and effective healing system, Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki offers unique qualities that make it distinct. Many people experience Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki as more refined and deeply felt. While the practitioner remains an important facilitator, using their hands to focus and deliver the Reiki, the healing energy itself is understood to work directly with the recipient, guided by a higher spiritual intelligence and coming from Source.

A NOTE ON THE USUI HOLY FIRE® REIKI EXPERIENCE

During the session, you may feel deep heat or tingling coming from my hands. While the Holy Fire® energy comes directly from Source, I act as the dedicated facilitator. My role is to hold a sacred, high-vibrational space and use my hands to focus that direct higher intelligence exactly where you need it.

I am not the source of the healing, but rather the facilitator who helps that light reach you.

THE LINEAGE: IS THIS “NORMAL” REIKI?

I am often asked if Holy Fire® Reiki is different from the “normal” Reiki that people are used to. The answer is: It is the same Usui lineage, but beautifully refined.

I practice and teach Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki. It is deeply rooted in the original Japanese system founded by Mikao Usui, while incorporating the Holy Fire® method of Placements. These Placements are understood to remove the “middle man” of the teacher’s energy field, allowing the Holy Fire® energy to connect directly from Source. It is a globally recognised, authentic evolution of the Usui Lineage.
